About Dr. Michael M. Song

Michael M. Song, MD was born in Seoul, South Korea, but immigrated to the US in the early 1970s.  He grew up and was primarily educated in Southern California.  Dr. Song graduated from Caltech in Pasadena California with a BS with Honors and attended medical school at the USC Keck school of medicine in Los Angeles where he was a Dean’s Scholar.  After medical school, he completed a residency in Anesthesiology and a fellowship in Pain Management at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard University School of Medicine in Boston Massachusetts.

Once his professional training got completed, Dr. Song entered private practice in one of the suburbs of New York City.  There, he practiced both Anesthesiology and Pain Management for over 25 years as a partner/vice president and associate director/director of Pain Management for two Anesthesiology companies.  During this time, Dr. Song has also been fortunate enough to be a member of multiple medical/surgical mission teams to South America, China, and Central Asia.  In 2021, he relocated to Jacksonville Florida with the intention of living his life in a warmer more hospitable climate.  He has loved my career in medicine and plans to continue as long as he is able.

Dr. Song is also an inventor and has several patents on drug/pill delivery-dispensing devices which he hopes will someday help people manage their medications.  In Jacksonville, he has been spending his spare time with his wife and dog as well as collecting and tinkering with power tools.
